Angry Trailer problems-- not what you think

So, since I got the Allison in Dec, my trailer has had 4 things stolen off it.
First, second and third time they got the master cylinder cover, $1.10 each. But not something you can run to Autozone and pick up. Then today one of my backup lights. Something easily purchased at any parts house.
Thinking seriously about taking all of the Allison logos off my trailer. I have had 5 Tritons and a Bullet over the last 11 years and only had one master cylinder cover stolen. Same ramps, same type of tow vehicle. Very proud of my Allison but apparently others Aren't. I actually bought 10 of the covers for a whopping $11 anticipating it to happen more. Just venting I guess.

so what you do is buy the ones that are metal and feature the "reverse lock out" feature where ya give it a 1/4 turn that locks out reverse so you can back up. When ya park in the lot make sure the trailer has pushed the master cylinder in all the way because that metal cylinder cover cannot be removed with the trailer pushed forward. .

    SON OF GUN!

I've been replacing my master cylinder brake covers thinking they just fell off. Never thought someone would actually steal them. All make sense now.

Good grief! I loaned my truck and boat out for a local Christmas parade two years ago and they brought it back missing the brake cylinder cover. I just figured it fell off...........

I thought about this thread today and checked my other trailers as soon as I got home. Son of gun! Missing one on the snowmobile trailer and one off the utility trailer.

I've almost lost a reverse light out of my trailer. If you back in to dump the boat, water fills the channel tube, and then you pull forward really fast out of the water, the force of the water draining out the tube sometimes can knock the reverse light out of the end channel tube. Bad design from Boat Mate in my opinion. My light was hanging down by the wires and dragging the ground, could have been lost. My first impression when I saw it happen the first time was that someone hit my trailer.

Just a thought !! Sure seems like a common problem with some trailers --
-Unless there's fell off -- WHY would someone steal mine ????
I have lost a couple of the plastic covers over the years-- After rebuilding this trailer I had it rhino lined.. The material is thicker than paint and we had to remove some of the coating to get the cover back on...even then it took a rubber mallet to persuade it.. two years later and I still have a cover.
Might try putting a small dag of silicone on it and see if it disappears.

I misspoke (cranial flatulence) -- I believe mine is actually gatorhyde they used a special spray gun that heated the product as it was applied. So far I really like it.. I do have one concern with any product of this type -----It may hide rust (to good) on these tube frame trailers.
