Cover waterproofing?

I have a 2001 tr-21 with the original aroura canvas cover. It is in great shape after afew repairs. But it's not waterproof. It just soaks up the water and drips into the boat. Does any one know what the most coast effective way to waterproof it? Is this prosibe? Is there a factory recomed product?
