I have a loose seat pedistal / bushing

on my 521c. There are 2 positions up front but only 1 suits me. Anyway it wiggles a lot and with the seat installed, just by pushing on the butt seat a little bit you can see it move.

Is there an adjustment to make it tighter?
Or can it be replaved and is so, how?

I agree that this is a constant problem. I wish they would go to a metal bushing. That hard plastic piece constantly wallows out and allows your butt seat to be loose.

Have replaced mine 4 times on my 2014. New ones aren't that much better than old ones.

I had a piece of thin sheet metal my friend gave me and I use to put it around the pedestal then slide it in worked great, but I lost it this past winter and my freind has since passed so I'm now screwed till i find a piece of metal to replace it with some kind of shim already replaced mine to.

I am an old time machinist and we used a material called shim stock. You can check with an industrial supplier like Grainger or similar. You can also get this material in stainless. Various thickness available. This might help with your seat pedestals.

Cut up a beverage can and slip the piece around the post. Fold it over so it doesn't slide down or tape it to the post.

I just ordered a new one for mine. P/N 2100038. $32 shipped. Wish they had used the Swiveleze brand instead of Springfield spring locks. I never had this problem with the screw in style on my other boats.

I just replaced my rear one and it is so tight that it is hard to get the pedestal in. Kind of annoying but reading others experiences I guess I should be happy.

I figure it will becomes easier over time.

Tried the soda can but too difficult to hold and slip
Pedestal at same time needed too many pieces so I just wrapped it with electrical tape and all is well took up the slack and no more wobble
