    Nail weights

What size nail weights should I get? Never owned any. Was thinking about experimenting?

I have found nothing better for the Neko rig... Home Depot cheap and looks good on the end of the bait. Helps stand up Don't fall out or stiffen the action like a nail weight. These are less than 1/2 inch... http://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-...Framing+Screws

Plumbing solder on a roll. Pinch off what you need . Been using that for 30 years.

I bought some of the lunker city ones in 3/32 and 1/16 from K and K in davenport when they had them for something like 1.25 a pack and really like those. The hope depot nails work really well too. They make a clack against rock and screw in solid.

I've used penny nails for years, per my old late friend, Jimmy Johnson.

Love the "cheaper" comments... $60,000 boats, $300 rods, $300 reels, $20 baits.... screws and nails from the hardware store for weights!! Haha..

There is absolutely a certain irony in that.

Save on weights that work just as good and put it towards the new boat and truck... I dont see a reason for tungsten, Some waste a lot of cash on it though.

I buy cheap crappie jigheads, cut the hook off and bend the shank back towards the head so it holds when I shove it in the worm.

I ubderstand this and I'm not arguing..just looking for sensible logic...

$2 pack of screws/nails vs $4 pack of worm weights... if a $2 savings is that big of a deal, how the heck do you even leave the boat launch with the price of gas? It's like 2 dollars worth of gas just to fire up a 250....

I paid $2, you paid $4, we both start our 250's which cost $2 just to start. I'm out $4 and your out $6. There's the logic..lol

So our $2 saved fired up the 250, thats worth it in itself..
