    1042xsv multiple transducers

I have a 1042xsv with a cv52 transducer mounted on transom. Is there anyway I can add a y cable or something to allow me to run another transducer mounted on the hull in order to record depth at speed?

Not with that transducer. Y cable only works with GT30.
My wife asks if I'm going to fish every day. I can't fish every day. Some days I might be sick.

Yes, you need the y-cable, GT15, and GT30.

    y-cable: https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/536977

    GT15: https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/530269

    GT30: https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/540582

The inhull version of the GT8 will also be compatible with the y-cable setup with the next software release to be available soon:

Is it possible to do the same (dual transducers) on a 73dv?

No, not with the DV products. You could go with an inhull xducer for 2D, but going this route you would have to give up ClearVu.

Thanks. I really appreciate the response.
