    135 4-Stroke

I've got a boat with a HP rating of 135 I'm looking at upgrading motors (currently have a Mercury 125) and I know Mercury makes a 135 4 stroke sold in Australia is there any way to buy one of these in the US ? Thought about the new 115 Pro XS 4 stroke but would really like a little more speed than that (currently running around 45 GPS) kinda figured it would be about the same as what I have now and also thought about the 150 but alot of people said don't go over HP limit so I don't really know what would be best thanks for any help.

they used to be sold here but were discontinued. You could likely find a used one but new might be hard to come by.

115 ProXS would be your best option in the Mercury lineup (no 135 is offered currently).

You should be pleased- the torque is a definite improvement.

If you purchase an out of market outboard, I do believe warranty coverage becomes an issue. As in no warranty.

Looks like that 135, if you can even get it here, is a de-tuned 150. It's about 100 pounds heavier than the 115. I'd go for the 115 Pro XS.

Suzuki makes a 140. Probably won't get much more speed but it's 4 stroke.
