I use the strap cuz I got the helmut a little big so it was easier to get off my big head!!

I wear a helmet 90% of the time.
I wear it for impact inside the boat. If something happened and I am thrown in the floor or forward, I want some protection for my noggin.

Also on tournament day.
I used to think it was dumb until I hit a bird at 85. It was a glancing blow but felt like someone hit me square in the face even with a helmet on.

I wear a helmet when doing high speed runs. Also wear my motocross chest protector.
