The benefits of the Bravo1 style propeller generally hurt top speed. Dragging the big diameter 4 blade behind the boat is a killer. I have not see huge benefits from B&BP a Bravo1...

Mark didn't B&B my Brand New Bravo1, but he did repair it after it got dinged while I was stopped at a red light. When I got the prop back it was 2-MPH faster, after I had him remove some cup, so YES "reworking" (which is what the OP asked about) can increase speed in some cases.
I have seen Mark do wonders with a Bravo :)
