    Delta dental for vets

Is the program any good? Almost dropped a load when the dentist told me what implants cost. Thanks.

Don't have Delta Dental, but my wife does through work and it's good for the basic stuff. She had to get implants done and I believe Delta only paid $500 of the $4100 expense. But they did cover her braces though.

Pretty expensive for what you get...I passed.

As far as implants go seems like you have a one year pre-existing. Even with Delta my implant was about 3K out of pocket. I'm sure the prices vary depending on your case. Today I couldn't tell you exactly which tooth is the implant. It feels that natural.

Before you you guys start in on the insurance companies Delta is a non profit running under the governments rules.

We have the Delta Dental and it pays pretty well for my wife. There have been crown's where she had to pay out of pocket. She likes it.

I have had it for over 22 years since retirement. I find it fairly priced for NORMAL dental services. If you have a plan that covers implants the payment would resemble a mortgage!

Could not justify the premium costs with what was provided....I passed also.

I went with them thru my work, not the retired stuff.

better coverage and it is 1/10th the monthly cost.

    I went from $72/ mo to $6.70 / mo.

I used them when I retired until I got another job. It was $225/month under the retired plan for my family. My company also uses Delta Dental. I now pay 25/month for the same coverage! They are ripping off vets IMO.
