    Buying seats from the factory?

I'm looking to replace my seats on my alpha 199. Can I call the factory up to get this done and order seats with them?

Yes you can. Have your serial number and a pic of your boat and they will get you a quote.

I was quoted $1400 from the factory so I instead took them to a marine upholstery shop and now they look brand new for only $150.

And they look just like they did when they came off the show room floor?

Sorry for the late response. They redid the stitching that was coming apart in a few areas and replaced a few of the vinel panels that couldn't be restiched. They can color match any of the vinel material. They also cleaned the seats and yes they look almost brand new. I'm super glad that I didn't spend the $1400 as I like my original seats and want to keep the boat looking clean. My boat is an 09 211.

A big part of the $1400 price tag is the STX (Nylon material) seats and the gel inserts. If I had the stock seats in good structural condition, I would go the same route as you and just refresh the vinyl for way cheaper.
