First (and second) trip out in the Hobie

What a great day on a small lake I have alway wanted to fish, but couldn't due to a no gas motor attached policy. I caught quite a few bass and got a nice workout at the same time. I'm impressed with the Hobie 180 Mirage drive as I needed the reverse feature quite a few times and can't imagine not having it. All in all, a great first trip. I do miss having a fish finder and will add one soon. The seat was comfortable the entire trip which was great as well.

Thanks. Just got back from my second trip and lit them up again. Today I forgot my little terminal tackle box so the only hook was the one I had a attached. I had to keep bending it back to get it to work I will post some pics when I get on the computer.

If you were not wearing a different hat, I'd swear you recycled the pics from the first outing.

Kayak fishing is addictive, especially when you have one of the brands with a propulsion system that leaves your hands free. IMO the Hobie fishing kayaks are the best for fishing, and the new Mirage Drive that has the reverse feature is another plus, and I'm glad to see you are enjoying yours. Many relaxing fun filled days are certainly in your future with the Hobie. How is the car topping working out? I prefer a trailer, but that is a personal choice, then again I have a couple of the Pro Anglers now but I quickly opted for a trailer with my first Outback too.

Same lake, different day I promise. I can't imagine having to use a paddle and also fish. Love the Mirage system, especially with the reverse. I'm glad I waited another year for the Mirage 180 system.

I was soooooo close as well. I decided to wait and for once, it paid off I remember looking at them when they had the crappier seats and now they are super comfy, another bonus.
