What am I gonna do with this ho...?

    ....le

Now that I have your attention haha! My 98 ZX has the ancient flasher style finder in the dash. I'd like to pull it out and put something else in there. Has anyone done this before and what did you put in there? I might cover it up with a 5" Garmin or something I guess, but I'm open to any ideas.

You could put in a digital flasher. Humminbird makes one. They are round and read bottom good at high speeds

You could make a plug for the hole. I would say another gauge of some kind but it looks like you probably already have everything covered there.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I may go with an updated flasher. Can't do a radio, this is a fishin' boat. ;)

I agree that it's dependable, but it's too 1970's for me to enjoy properly I guess. When I got the boat it was already disabled and the wires were clipped. Just this weekend I removed the last transducer and tossed it. It's just a filler for now.

I sold mine and put a plate with the skeeter logo on it. Also put a led light behind it so the bug would lite up. I had a member on here make it for me. I forgot who it was but it looks good.

I have a 2005 TZX, it has the digital flasher. It is the only thing that reads depth at high speed.
