Shelbyville crappie bite

Anyone wanting to catch some eaters should hit Shelbyville. The crappie bite is on deep and shallow. I caught several limits both Tuesday and Wednesday with a couple deeper brush piles holding a quick limit..Most were caught 10 foot deep in 10-15 foot of water tight lining a jig with tube..Chart. head, chart/whit and chart/red tube..Water temps 66 north with good water color.

I'm all about eating them fillets.. I also have a 30 foot 5th wheel 100 yards from the lake for the last 25 years ...

What's the average size out of there? Not a crappie fisherman unless it's by accident...more curiosity.

The legal limit is 10 fish 10 inches or over and 5 under 10 inches. Shelbyville has a lot of 10 1/2 inch- 11 inch crappie and a good number of 12-14 inchers for those that fish it a lot. I never keep the under 10s ..

Nice This is my get away. Nothing fancy but I love it down there. Having retired march 2016, I spend 3-5 days a week there.
