90% Chance of Rain Friday and 100% chance Saturday
Holy schnikes! I thought it was just some rain and a little bit cooler, just checked and saw this for Saturday!
"Periods of heavy rain and a thunderstorm; cool; watch for flooding; high 58, low 45; 10 mph sustained winds from the NE, gusts to 15"
Rain total between now and Sunday morning is predicted to be 2.5"
Well I guess I'm not coming down there this weekend then! Darn
Yeah exactly.... we're still going, but my expectations are quite low. I fished down there a few years ago about this time and the same exact thing happened, except it was Saturday and Sunday, not Friday and Saturday. We had a ball that Saturday. It rained all day but we caught fish all day long in the brush on Barkley. Sunday morning we went out and the lake had come up A LOT and the surface temp had dropped 5 degrees from the previous morning. It rained all day again and we didn't catch a keeper.
she's going back down now
When they drop the water on KY does that make the bass pull back out of the shallows or is the lake so big it doesn't really matter?

Not going to make it, 358.35-.40 at best.
360.50 - 361 to get in the back of Honker ...I think
So how high do yall think it's going to get by the end of the week? I'm thinking 362

It will jump fast if they have to close some gates towards the end of the week. Those predicted levels show 156000 average outflow.
From TVA:
Currently we're at maximum turbine capacity and spilling excess water at Kentucky Dam at a rate of 1.1 million-gallons-per-second.
I think I need to go below the dam and go snaggin! Looks about right for that from the Marshall Co side!
Crazy to think that they are dumping 95 BILLION gallons of water per day and the lake is still rising. That's a lot of water!
