Johnson fast strike Silver star series

Can someone tell me where I find the serial # on my Johnson 175 fast strike silver star series?

I think you would have better luck if you posted this on the Johnson/Evinrude board. It is a few boards down below this one.

It should be on a tag mounted to the port side of the engine mounting bracket. Stand at the back of the motor, and look on the lower left side of the power head just under the belly pans,and you will see a black and silver sticker on the bracket. It will have the model and serial number of the motor listed.
