Elite will be here soon!! Who is your picks?

Bassmaster Elites will start pouring into the Jackson area this weekend to began practice and derby starts on Thursday, April 27.

My picks to win are Jason Christie, Randal Tharp, or Jacob Wheeler.

Winning pattern will be buzzbait, lizards, and a jig.

It has been a long time since the Elite's have been to the Rez. We might as well enjoy it.

Oh and it will take an average of 18 pounds a day to make it to Sunday.

Would like to see Browning win it.

Think Herren & Kennedy will do well.

I'd love to draw out with Ike, at least it will be interesting and I have a good shot of learning something. I may choke him by the end of the day, though. My biggest fear is that I'm going to draw out with 2 rookies that zero each day and finish at the bottom and I'm gonna get nothing out of it.

I don't know why, but I really have a strong feeling about Randall Tharp winning this one. And don't forget Mike McClelland has won on Barnett before, but I believe that was a fall tourney.

Going to go out on a limb and say nobody will average 18 pounds a day for the tournament. They better pray the weather cooperates. If they get high pressure sunny days with wind it will be as tough on them as it is anyone. Some will figure them out but there will be plenty who struggle. With the right weather I'm saying it could take as much as 13 a day to make the cut and as little as 9 a day if it is tough. Just remember the BFL a couple of weeks ago and that was during a better time of the year. It had some very good sticks in it.

Thats true...but that was after a 15 degree drop in water temp that week also. I'm going with about a 17 1/2 average for the tourney to win.

Im guessing that someone isnt going to catch 18 all 4 days, but have one really good day with 22-23 lbs and then couple 15-16 lb days and have something around 19-20 on the final day. I'd really like to get paired with someone doing something off the wall like drop shotting largemouth and spotted bass in +25' of water in front of the spill way..

You could have agreed with me on 18 pounds rather than 17.5.
