I was really anxious to get back down to the Rock. Paul and I headed out at 7am. Stopped in Marionville for breakfast and was fishing by about 9:30. When we put in at Big Bay the air temp was low 60's and the the water temp was mid 60's. We were excited to see the water that warm. We expected a strong bite but all we could find was little buck bass. We caught several. Caught 'em on a Ned rig, crankbait, wacky worm, and a spook. We had to work at it a lot harder than I thought we would have to. Paul tuckered out and wanted to head to Pizza Hut just about the time the evening bite started. I had just caught a couple on the spook so I was getting fired up but he was too pooped to pop. Its his boat and his truck so........I think I sniffled a little bit all the way to Pizza. I'm gonna try to go back with Gary on Wednesday. If I do....I'm gonna try to talk him in to staying til after dark.....we'll see.
