    ive never got that in a mercury. ive always been 10-12.

    Thats the worst prop to pad hieght measuring document I've ever read I think.

    #2 is the only one that's half right and it's not right either.

    I just rechecked mine last night. The front point on my gear case is not the same height as the center of the propshaft 3/8" difference.

    always go by the end of the propshaft with the dimple in it. as I've been told

    my thoughts exactly.

    I always measure to the center of the propshaft, not the point or cone as they can be off.
