    Stonewall

Headed to stonewall for a few days in two weeks. I usually wait til a week or so later to hit the spawn but thinking with the warmer weather they will start moving shallow earlier this year. Anyone been doing any good there this year?

Didn't get to hit the prespawn this year, but I'd say they're on their way to the banks as we speak. I'd love to be up there this week. I usually try to make an April trip to get those big girls before they drop. I usually catch them building around the 3rd week of April depending on how cold of a season we're having.

Lake is at summer pool already. We've had a lot of rain here recently. Water has been 60+ lately. They should be moving up any day now.

Spent all day on Stonewall today. Wind was pretty bad. Water looks great. Temp was 64 everywhere we were. Caught a few. Saw 2 on the bank on nests. My wife missed one of them and I caught it next cast.
There was a tourney there today. Maybe 10-15 boats. I spoke to the guys in one boat in passing. They had 2 nice keepers.

Water temp was 72 Saturday. This cold snap may cool it off a bit.

It was crazy up there this morning. I only stayed for a couple hours. The Best of the Best tourney is today. $10,000 for 1st place. Over 100 boats.
Water temp was 66. I caught one that was 4lbs on a jig and caught a dink on a 3xd. All the bites I had were close to wood. Guys started running and gunning so I headed to the house.

I was wondering how it's been there lately.

I fished the BOB and had 4.2 pounds with 2 fish and made 18th place if that tells you how the weekend was for fishing. Only 2 boats had a limit.

Yep, that pretty much say it all. The weather the last couple of weeks really put the smack down on things, along with spawn and some post spawn. Take a bass recently off the nest, with screwy weather and that's a bad combo.

Water temp is up again. Was 74.6 yesterday. They've pulled some more water too.
