There's a thread below titled "St. Clair water temps" as well as other recent posts. Sounds like temps in the 40s with a lot of dirty water. Also recent posts suggesting that the 9 mile ramp is not yet open, and I don't know of any public launch at 8 mile. Surely there's somewhere you can launch, if you don't mind a bit of boat run, but east winds the past couple of days are not going to help an already iffy situation. East winds sucketh in the mile roads.

I'm thinking that publicly posting "shhh" is their way of confirming that yes, they're biting

I noticed a lot of big dead shad in my canal this year. A few dead sunfish. No dead bass, walleye, pike or muskie.

Fished st Clair again today - launched at nine mile and hit a bunch of spots up to memorial park and then back down to fords cove and gross point. 53-54 degrees, about 2 ft vis. West winds 14 gusting to mid 20's. Fished 3 to 14 ft, caught one fish each. Night and day differenance from Monday.

Was out yesterday and water temps were in the high 40's with about 3'-4' visibility around the mile roads. Nine mile launch is open but not many braved the strong north east winds. We caught some decent ones but it was tough to fish or even move around with the weather. They starting biting really well once the sun came out around one and I'd venture a guess that they will by chomping by early this week!! 6-8fow worked best for us, crankbaits and swimbaits.

Tons of people reporting smashing them today, multiple guys saying 20+ lbs best five was easy today. Really wish I could get my boat ready before it slows down.
