I'm guessing both those fish got gut hooked because you cut the video of unhooking them and looked at both fish and said man they had it longer than I thought.

If they came off a bed I doubt they were gut hooked. I've never gut hooked a bass off a bed.

I haven't gut hooked a bedding bass all year but both the fish off this bed got gut hooked but I got the hooks out without hurting the fish.

You should have posted the video maybe it could have helped others learn how to get the hook out of a gut hooked bass.

To each his own I would rather stay home and play with myself then fish for bedded bass. I understand if money is on the line but bed fish just for the sake of fishing no thanks.
