1981 evinrude 15hp lower unit

i have a e15rcis 15 hp it will not stay in gear after about half throttle any help please

Have you touched the lower prior to the issue? Performed any maintenance on the LU prior to this happening?

no just got it first time in the water didn,t know if there was and adjustment that i can do to fix the problem thanks

Keeps the gears engaged, most likely the ears on the clutch dog have rounded off and not staying locked in with forward gear and is popping out at speed. The gearcase will need to be torn down to replace.
