Primer Bulb Went Flat (Twice!!) Any Ideas????
Was in a high school tourney yesterday and as soon as I idled past the check station, before I could hammer down, the engine just died. Tried to start it and it sounded like it was starving for gas. Went to the back and checked the primer bulb and it was flat........I could squeeze one side to the other with 2 fingers. I pumped it until it got hard, went to start it and she fired right up and never failed to start the rest of the day. I don't smell gas anywhere so not sure if there's a small leak somewhere. This is the 2nd time it has happened. The last time I never thought to check the bulb and it eventually started so I never thought anything about it.
Thanks

Check the vent hose for blockage, or sagging low spot that could hold fuel, which restricts the vent.

If the bulb keeps going flat you'll need to change it to the new style that is Ethanol Resistant--you may even have to change the fuel lines if you have/are running Ethanol gasoline.
