promax fuel issues on champion 221dc

hello yall new guy on the block

    i have a 2004 225x promax 0t819312 on my 98 champion 221dc bassboat
my idle is high = 800 should be 650
in looking through my service manual
its says pulse pump could be leaking
or vapor separator could be over flowing
or fuel could be entering the the manifold
runs good but does load up on some extended idle time through the stumps
800 rpm makes it shift hard
also it looks like there is some fuel seaping up through the oil seal on top
and ideas on which one to start with

ill post some pic of my boat today or tomorrow

thanks for any help you can give
    scott

    Welcome, Scott!!!

We have some great Mercury mechanics in the Mercury Motors forums here on BBC. You might want to check with them. They can give you great guidance.

I'll concur with Lea. Don Weed aka European Marine, for one, knows his stuff.
