Having tried red label for the first time last season, I can tell you that it won't work with a Palomar knot. Knot slipped on two hooksets in short order. Changed to the Trilene knot, and was then fine.

Red box has more abrasion resistance
    Yellow box is more supple
I have used both and palomar has worked fine

I use only red label and really like it, some line conditioner really helps. Never used invisx but the general opinion seems to be it has more stretch than red label or abrazx.

IMO InvisX is nothing more than over priced nylon mono filament. Spend the money and get Tatsu. Guaranteed you'll think InvisX is junk in comparison.

I use Abrasx for pitching, and red Label for everything else. Invisx I find has more stretch.

you will absolutely love Tahtsu, you will love it. it is very pricey, but then again, as we all know..."you get what you pay for"...

just my opinion, but I would much rather spend a lot of money on quality line, & gear (rods&reels) than I would on tackle (cranks, jerks, swim baits, etc)...

also, for great flippin braid....take a look at Seagaur Smackdown. I flip a jig w 65lb, and it is absolutely $

I use red label bc it is inexpensive, my local walmart has it, and it goes on sale a lot. It casts fairly well however, if you get a bad backlash with it, you have to re-spool. It does not hold up well after bad backlash. It is abrasion resistant that is for sure. I have NOT had any problems with polmar knots slipping either. I switched over FROM Invisix because I had line break issues a number of times with different line sizes and from different spools. I like red-label a lot.

FWIW, I have never had the improved clinch knot/Trilene Knot NOT work with any type of line.

Red Label, great buy for the money. Make sure to use a good line conditioner, I love Reel Snot, really helps to make line a lot more manageable overall.

I've used red label for years and had really good luck with it... yes there are better lines but they cost alot more. This spring I bought 2 1000 yard spools in 15 and 12 lb test and have noticed it isn't as good as the line in the level wound 200 yard spools. Noticeable difference in quality. I won't but any more 1000 yard spools of red label.
