Lowrance Hook 7 - US2 Question...

I'm awaiting the arrival a my new Triton, with which I have ordered a Minn Kota Fortrex with US2 sonar connectivity. I purchased a Lowrance Hook 7 unit to flush mount into the bow panel and have a couple of questions...

Which adapter do I need to connect the Hook 7 to the Lowrance unit? I think it may be the MKR-US2-10. Minn Kota's site doesn't list the Hook 7.

How big of an impact will not having Downscan capabilities be? Does it still work at all with the US2, albeit with poorer resolution?

The Hook 7 is basically a rebadged Elite 7 CHIRP, so that may be on the list. Otherwise, it's the standard Lowrance "blue" plug.

Downscan will help let you identify what you are looking at on the sonar....if you never had downscan then you arent losing anything.....but if you have it now then in my opinion, you will miss it...
