A fish and ski does neither very well.

I know several people who went the f&s route only to figure out that they ski a few times each summer and fish from a sub-par rig the majority of the time the boat is wet.

Define better what your wife wants in a boat.

Family cruising on the lake? If so, how many persons?

    Waterskiing or tubing? How often?

    Swim platform?

    Etc?

Buy the boat you want and have some fish and ski graphics printed up and slap them on there.

Allison with a backseat no doubt. Ive never seen anybody happy with a fish n ski but if its just the only way to score a boat by all means get a boat brother!

Allison's are listed as straight bass boats not fish and ski's but they are really the best extra seating bass boats they are.

Open check book its xb21 2+2 or prosport all the way

Everytime I see a post like this, The wife goes a few times a year.... This is no reason to buy a F&S... A bassboat will pull kids/family just fine and do a much better job for your purpose. Take this from someone that had a F&S.

Guys that don't take this advice, Are not happy and end up selling in a short while at a big loss.

My recommendation would be to start by looking at the Ranger Reata series.

    https://www.rangerboats.com/StaticPa...SAtAGlance.cfm

Take your wife and go sit in and walk around in one. I have a 2013 1850LS that I bought new and would be glad to answer any questions you have.

The 212LS is a lower freeboard boat but you also sit lower to the floor. Don't make your decision until you both sit in a higher freeboard boat with pedestal seating. They are much more comfortable and easier to move around in with multiple people on board.

And BTW my wife loves our fish and ski.

    Have fun shopping.

Allison bass sport 2+2 is the only good option.
