Get a Basscat Jaguar with a 400 Verado and I think that will work for you and the wife.

My Wife said the same thing, and then i found a sweet deal on this Triton 215X.
It's technically a walleye boat, but she doesn't know that. The rear deck extension come out, (2 pins hold it in place) and i can then pop two more seats into it.
Front casting deck is huge, and i could crawl into all the storage lockers and i'm 6'2 200lbs.
This boat is 10 years old, so i'm not sure what the model looks like now, but the Triton, Ranger or Yarcraft (basscat owned i think) all make awesome walleye rigs that make good family boats as well

Everyone knocks F&S's, but I love mine and wouldn't have a bass boat for my family. It is great for fishing with kids and the wife, and it will pull a tube like a son of a gun. I'm not a tournament fisherman, I just enjoy being out on the water and getting away from work. My Javelin was priced right and it fits my needs extremely well. I don't see me going to a traditional bass boat anytime soon.

I love this thread! I've owned both. When I sold the Ranger Fish and Ski and went to a pure bass boat I did get the look. yes, you know the one. However, I ordered a center seat option on it and has pulled our tubers just as well as the Ranger Fish and Ski. For the 4 days a year we do this, it is very adequate and my wife will say the same.

Now, I you really ski then forget both options. You need a real ski boat. Maybe a real ski boat and a little alum boat.

I agree this is a great fishing boat and has plenty of room with seating options for several passengers.

Why not just do a custom bay boat with added seats? The front deck of them are nice. Or buy an Older barge and customize it to do everything. On the front just remove the railing and put bench seats in the back wit a Tritoon and about a 150hp or more if wanted would be excellent

A really god rig that would fit that while being a true bass boat at its core would be the new Lund pro v bass with the flip up rear seats and pedestal driver and passenger seats. They have a ski tow bar option. Plus they have regular consoles and the passenger is removable when you are alone and want it out. No compramise for fishing but some storage loss as the back deck is smaller with the rear jump seats. However the cockpit is more open and a boat bag makes it easy to put in extra gear when fishing with plenty of floor space for it.

thats nice might get her to think that's okay ... she wanted 5 seats but maybe she would compromise

anyone have one that's actually fished out of it?
