thought id revive this thread. I had to put this project on hold for a while, but it is now back in my shop and very close to being finished!
built a warmed over 200 efi for it with all new internals, .015 overbore. i can start another thread with pics and details if there is interest. The motor is a 1998 EFI with exhaust cut like a pro max and other tricks to make around 225 reliable hp, without giving up much torque(G-boat need the low grunt!)

Looks awesome man. Cats will keep the mice away from the boat! Only thing you have to watch for is the cat having babies in your boat....haha...;)

Is it similar to the pettit paint you can get at west marine? They have a whole paint system with primers etc.

finally got take the boat out to begin break-in. there are still a handful of things left to complete, such as LED's in the compartments and a set of re-painted cowls for the motor.

not sure yet, so far ive put about 6 hrs of run time on her.i changed out the lower unit to a 2:1 unit to help pop it up on plane with a 27 pitch Trophy while doing break in. made a few short burts up to 60,she got there quick, felt real good and snappy.ive got a stator going out as the tach goes haywire past 5200 rpms. i will put the stock 200 lower(1:86?) back on it with a 25 pitch Fury after break in.
