    Pulling a zx190 with a 4Runner

Can a 4Runner handle a zx190 with tandem trailer and brakes? Thanks.

    Thanks.

What year 4Runner do you have? I have a 2016 and my trailer light receptacle is tucked underneath the bumper. I am concerned the trailer light wire will not be able to reach. Do you have any problems with this? Do they make extension cords for this?

I have a 2016 also, my trailer light wire reaches fine, I'm sure that you could get an extension if needed. I do wish the receptacle underneath the 4Runner was turned over the other way, it just seems awkward the way it is.

We've had a 04 V8 AWD and have had the 10 V6 AWD since late 2009. I think I've hauled about every size bass boat there is with a Runner. I pulled my Cougar out of OD in the hills. Once in a while the big boats may drag you backwards on a REALLY steep & slick ramp. Once the boat clears the trailer in the water your fine. That rarely happened. On the flip side of that I've crawled around more than one stuck truck on a long icy ramp with Runners outstanding AWD system.

Youll be fine with a ZX19, I recommend the AWD Limited (only way to get AWD) but you'll be fine as long as you get 4WD for the occasional slick ramp.

    Buy a light extension.

I tow a Champion 181 with my 2016 4Runner with no issues. And yes, buy a an extension for your trailer light.

Bought a new to me 2012 Triton 21HP up near Cleveland, and pulled it back with my wife 2012 4runner, keep the auto transmission in 4th in the hills on the way back to Arkansas. I was totally happy with the way it pulled and got mid 14 to low 15 mpg's on the way back. Ten hours back to the house and the truck did great, as it should have because of the 5000 lbs towing rating.

2016 Trail towed a Bass Cat Pantera II about 200 miles this weekend and did just fine with plenty of hills.
