Blue & Brown wire on 73SV

Put a 73SV on my boat today and wired the red and black to power and ground. I read the instruction for the blue and brown wire but did not understand where they were supposed to go. Can anyone give me information in layman's terms what I need to do. Are there any functions that won't work because the brown and blue are not connected?

    Thanks in advance

    John

They are used to connect your chartplotter to a VHF radio, Garmin or otherwise. It allows GPS location data to be passed to the radio. If you have a DSC capable radio it's worth hooking them up.
