Outside unless I am putting the cover on which is not often. Don't want those nasty prop scratches like ike has on his boat.

I store mine on the outside. When I am using a cover, I take the prop off and replace with a hub from an old prop that I cut the blades off of and ground down smooth. It takes 30 seconds and prevents any wear on the cover.

Outside... If you're on the water, you won't catch as much spray when running...on the trailer it puts the pedal in a toe down position so it doesn't act like a scoop for all the bugs and road grime.

The only time I use the cover is when the boat is in the shop, so I can always flip it over on that rare occasion.

Inside, easier on cover and keep prop from hitting dock

Prop to inside, pedal switch to "Off", power dial at zero and a 60-amp breaker that lets me manually cut all power to the TM when I'm done fishing and headed back to the ramp. I paid the 'stupid tax' once before I ever reached that point, though... Leaned over the front to hook the bow strap and chest contacted the momentary switch... Yep, prop whirled away, all up the side of my neck and face. Scared the chit out of me but, thankfully, no severe damage other than to my pride and shorts.

Also, here's an easy way to alleviate any wear concerns where your TM prop contacts your cover... Total cost, ~$3.

And yeah, be careful cutting the slots in the tennis balls.

Inside to prevent the prop spinning when running, it lays against the bow light when inside.

My custom cover is triple reinforced for the trolling motor and prop.
But I will take the prop off when towing with cover on which is not too often.

Outside the lady that built the cover with a protective pad for the trolling motor prop just incase something happened.

Inside on an Ultrex with my pedal flat. Also been known to throw something over the prop when the cover is on (even though it's reinforced). Recessed foot pedal and I cut the power prior to docking so no chance of an accident by hitting the button..

In my opinion the only factor that matters to the this thread is the position of the foot pedal. U can stretch the cables if you stow where the head is pulling on the toe or heel side cable and the pedal can move any further. I always stow my TM where the pedal is as close to flat as I can get.

Outside to avoid the risk of it turning on and the prop hitting the boat. I store my boat in my shop so no cover involved.

Outside, but I have an offset shaft mount on my MG Tour. I take the prop off when I cover it.

I store mine with the prop on the Outside, with the 36V motor the longer front end sticks out and is not supported sufficiently if I store it to the inside.

Outside. On my MG Tour if I turn it inside the head bounces like crazy.
