ABOUT TIME
Don I've always recognized you my friend.
Finally
Finally! never will forget how we were treated though. I was in the Leavenworth VAMC two weeks ago on Tuesday. A VA employee was talking about Vietnam Veterans and she said "all of you Vietnam guy's are crazy" I told her "I had papers to prove I was crazy". (100% for PTSD) The shame is, we are still thought of as crazies. Guy's and Gal's who served over there, we will never lose the Crazy label.
I always thought highly of Vietnam vets. I served with some great guys for 20 years.
It's been a long time coming. Didn't get any recognition back then but my Nam bumper sticker does get an occasional "Welcome Home" or "Thanks for your service" . I think the general public has become more patriotic since the 60's and 70's.
