I fished St Clair monday for a few hours... Only one 3+lb smallie caught... 2 perch and a white bass. Same time of year, same areas, same temps, same lures as last year that we caught 35 nice ones.... I don't think they were there yet. Partner thinks they are and not biting.

Fished Union Lake yesterday. They are only in a couple places they should be this time of year. Water is still 40 degrees. Caught 5 Smallies and a nice walleye on blades. Need a warm nights and a warm rain to wake them up.

How is the water looking? Dirty or clean? The satellite images I have seen look like chocolate milk on most of the lake.

I looked at those pics before I went, It was looking muddier than I like.......... But it was cleaner than I thought it was going to be. Some stain around 10 mile, But got cleaner as I went south. It was almost clear at the dt river on the W side. I only saw the west shoreline.

I'm headed out Sunday. Was thinking LSC but may go somewhere inland if the water is too dirty.

TH. The perch bite will be on fire here very very soon. Just before the water hits 42 degrees. Nothing better than a bucket full of fat yellow bellies fried up!

44° today on mile roads. Caught 5 on tubes for about 18 lbs. No fish on cranks, blades, lipless. Was great to be out there, but man it was chilly when the clouds came out.

Very good! Thanks for the update

P.S. Good job helping the kayaker out. No doubt he was in real trouble at the time.

Fished 3/27 and caught 6 fish, all over 4+lbs. The big ones are there. The challenge is the water clarity; it was only 2ft along the mile rds 2 weeks ago and looks like based on the mud coming into the lake it's probably not much better since.

Got out from 11am-2pm Saturday 4/8. Water clarity was actually better than last weekend on the mile roads. Water temp was still 45 deg. I caught 3, with 2 over 4 lb. (weighed biggest at 4.65). Buddy caught 5 I think, all near 4 lb mark or just above. Fish were all caught in packs. We tried most areas without a bite. Once you got a bite in one area, there were multiple bites had.
