    2009 ETEC no power

I think my 150 HO lost at least one cylinder today. I was on plane running about 55 and I felt the engine shutter a little and then I started slowing down. I could feel a definite miss in the engine.

Going to take it to the dealer tomorrow. Just wonder if there is a common cause for this? I checked to see if a plug wire was off or loose. Nothing I could see. No knocks or other crazy stuff.

Hmm... I had the motor serviced about a month ago and "supposedly " dealer recalibrated the injectors or something like that.

I have no idea what "recalibrated the injectors" means- find out but it does not sound like something I would want done to my engine, makes no sense and can not be done either. Perhaps a clean at 8 years old.

I just googled it... came up with this link. Top of the pagecalls out injector recalibration as part of their service.

Just a word to the wise, don't use Seafoam in your motor use only BRP fuel additives.

Yes, webpage says E-TEC and looks like an E-TEC's injector mostly gets only some cleaning solution ran through it and its spray pattern/flows looked at:

    ETEC Cleaning Service

    Your Price

    $35.00

    Cleaning Only
    De-Carbon Nozzle
    Clean & Flush Leak Test
    Spray Pattern Check
    Flow Check

Doesn't seem he removes the injector from the housing to access/inspect/clean the mesh screen nor disassemble/clean the nozzle filter or replace the crush rings....stuff many owners can do.

It would be a better deal if they would get the part in and install it... been at the dealer for two weeks now. BTW... what should an injector cost?
