I love running as fast as I can. Tourney load and blast off I'll run 76 - 78 all day, if and only if the conditions are right, I'll flirt with 80. Been there once 80.7 with a 225 merc. stuck on the back of an 02 Gambler..:)

My family is with me most times. So I average around 35. Most of the time. Usually air it out once or twice at the end of the day if I get the opportunity at the ramp

Interesting that most guys can't do 85
I've noticed that my buddy's rig that we tournament fish out of doesn't get passed often and it won't even sniff 70. Or 68. Just trying to get some perspective.

4500 rpm is my crushing speed, depending on the water surface it could be 50- 53. WOT is 70 on a chop with me, half tank of gas and empty LW. I seldom run WOT, just drinks too much gas.

When fishing state trail for tbf everyone has 225 to 250's. I would say too sped average till wind comes up is 66 to 68.

At one of our opens the other day there were 26 Bullets and about 20 Gamblers and a handful of blazers. I believe there was just under 90 boats total. There would have been more Bullets but several of the teams were both fast boat owners.

Maybe it's different for slow boats. But max speed with my speed prop is notably faster than my
Everyday prop and way faster than my ski prop.

Top speed prop 90+ only run when I want to play
Everyday prop 80-87 depending on load and conditions. Can reach
Limiter most days I try unless the load is super
    Heavy or Out of balance
Slalom deepwater start prop. 70/72 on the limiter hard

On my local lake,(Pickwick)they might average 55 to 60. Just a guess, this is taking into consideration there are some tin rigs and smaller boat in every tourament and just fishing. But there are the go fast boys of which I was once considered part of. Lots of Allisons,Bullets, and a few Strokers. This is using the SWAG method of research. Now days I just putter around except when I get the itch. Also a lot of Bass Cats that will run quick also but mostly see them easing around. I know they will run good for weight and size.

I generally run around 50 just seems like the happy place in my boat I can get it to 74-76 in the correct conditions depending on the prop I have on. usually tops out around 72 with me half tank and a decent amount of my junk. that is according to my helix 7.

Theres a big difference between a tournament loaded boat and one with 1/2 tank of fuel lightly loaded running down stream with a tail wind..id have to guess not many run over 70 on tournament days..the exception would be the allisons , bullets etc.

I got to ride in a coworkers Stroker recently and learned two things quickly. Most boats are slower then you think, and over 80 in a bass boat you better know how to drive it is a completely different animal.
