    Rough water ride

Which cat, other than the jaguar, has the best rough water ride?

I am guessing the Lynx will because of length and deep V on hull next should be Puma or maybe Caracal.

No one's ridden in the Lynx yet, so probably the Puma FTD. The PIV and Cougar are great as well, the Caracal is reported to do well in big water. You need to get in them on the water and see what works for you. I've got a Puma FTD, and had a PIV.

I thought the Puma and Cougar had the same hull, just different deck layouts....

The Puma FTD weighs a few pounds more.

The Eyra rides better in the big stuff than a Puma FTD or Cougar FTD in my opinion.

I've had two Cougars, a Baycat and now the Caracal. The Baycat was great in rough water, but it should be. I don't really see any difference between the ride of my Cougars and my Caracal. They take rough water pretty well, all of them are dry rides. Of course no bass boat rides great in rough water. They will all bounce you around some, but all of them won't keep you dry.

I forgot all about the Eyra, when I drove one I thought it rode about the same as my PIV

Without any knowledge of the newest models... and depending on what you mean by rough...I can tell you both the Puma and Cougar FTD handle 6-7 footers extrwmely well after having multiple of both models!

6 and 7 footers?? No bass boat handles those. No bass boat should be in waves like that. I had a 28' Chris Craft that would "handle" waves that size, but it sure didn't do it well.

The 203/Puma Hybrid hull. All the rest ride good but the Hybrid is the bees knees. I've run it about as hard as a man can and while the others may be a few MPH faster the Hybrid is the smoothest of the lot IMO.

Again... I can only tell you my experience if you don't think 6-7 waves are possible I would welcome you to come to Ky lake, lake winnebago, lake st Clair, or bay of Green Bay (where yes 10-12 footers are common) please!!! I wasn't stating an opinion here just fact! I can supply names of many co anglers (some of which are members here) who have been in them with me if you'd like!

I've been on Kentucky Lake many times. Been on Lake Michigan and Erie several times as well. I full well know waves that size and bigger are possible on many large bodies of water. I'd guess you could easily have been in waves that big, but there is no way the boat rode well. It got you back apparently, I guess that's the main thing. No bass boat is made for that kind of water.

I've never been mad enough at fish to be out in 6-7 footers.

Crappie fish fry. It don't taste any better.
