Hey guys quick question with a 2002 tr21 fit in a 9 foot door opening?
is that standard?
Not try to be a dick but measure it outside of fender to outsider of fender and you'll find out quick! My 01 does NOT fit in a standard door thats 80 something inches wide
2001 Triton TR21 w/ 2008 Mercury 250 Pro XS
It will fit but it'll be tight. Just 3 or 4" on each side
If it is a 9 foot door, yes, it will fit but as mentioned, with a few inches to spare on each side. You lose a few inches for trim, seals etc on a garage door install so you wouldn't have the full 108" opening available. In most jurisdictions, a trailer can only be 8 ft up to 8ft 6" wide by law so you see how a 9 ft door is fine.
If you have 80 some inches opening, you do not have a standard 9 x 7 door btw.
8' 3" fender to fender
the 8'3" is correct, if you have a 9ft door, you have 105" opening, 108-3" weather striping=105. That's 3" clearance on each side. Have backed one in a 9ft door for years. But, you better be good at hitting the hole.
thanks guys this is what I was looking for! so if my building is 26 feet long i should be ok right?

The building I store my boat in is 28 feet long, with the tongue collapsed amd motor still trimmed up, I can walk around my boat, tightly at the motor lol but I can walk around it. My boat is a TR21x.
With a 26 ft garage, you may need to install some sort of stop to prevent you from backing into the back wall. For me, I bolted a 4x4 to the floor for my rear trailer tire to hit and still be clear of back wall.
