    Tr-196 carpet job

Well I finally got it done. Never again will I do that. Not that hard but time consuming. I did find some trim that has a carbon fiber look to it. I also covered all the wood grain in carbon fiber and upgraded electronics to hds 9 gen 3s

    Looks great!

how many ft did you order to do the job? And how many days did it take?

Recarpeting is on my list but may not get to it until the summer so trying to gauge down time.

I bought 30'. I wanted to have extra for my bunks and had 5' extra. It took about a month but I was only working off and on. If I had to guess I would say you could do it in a weekend or two. To me the hardest part was putting the hinges back on. Make sure you mark the hinges real good as far as inboard outboard and lid or hull side

Love them but they are heavy with all the brackets. Was thinking of going with a four blade prop to try and help out.

I run a 4 blade. It's on its way back from Mark's right now. Just a repair job.

I ran a trophy worked by mark but found a cracked blade and bought the fury. Now I see they have 4 bladed furys so I might try one of those. I have a hydro jack plate with the talons so it adds a lot of weight back there. I am just not sure what size fury to buy

If you can find a 23" Rev 4 to try you might like it a lot. I bought one for hole shot and low speed performance which are my main concerns. It is great in both categories and still gets me to 65.8 MPH before I give up.

i have had mine up to 74-75 but that was prior to the talons. Fastest I have it with them is 68

Did you add padding or just use thicker carpet? I'm looking to do mine in the next year or two......not looking forward to doing it, just thinking I'd better.

Nope just the thick bass cat carpet. No problems with the lids sticking either

Looks great! I really like that darker gray - although I fish barefoot alot, so it may get a little hotter than the light gray I've currently got??

Yea I had light grey for 12 years but it got real dirty. Basscat does not have a color in between the light and dark. It isn't as dark as it looks so I will see around aug in Mississippi

Looks great. I don't look forward to ever doing a carpet job on a boat ever again either. It's very time consuming. I got a quarter way into mine and was like CRAP! What have I gotten myself into?! But I'd already started, so I had to finish. Haha.
