Who has a regular cab truck?

I've always wanted a regular cab long bed truck, but never have been able due to the size of the family. My daughter graduates in a month and change, and at max, it will be 3 people in it, and that's a rarity. I don't like the looks of extended cabs (non crew cab trucks) and it would be nice to park when I visit the city often. Who here is using a regular cab and what advice do you have?

I have had one since '95. It is step side short bed though. Has been a good truck and did everything I wanted to do.

I love the looks of them, and that I don't have to bring anyone that I don't want to with me

I know another crew cab would be more useful, but I really don't want the issues when parking in the city. I think I can make it work.

I would like one, but looked at 4Runners as well. I bought a Hobie Cat Outback so a long bed would be great for it. With my shoulder replacement it sure would beat lifting it on the wife's SUV. If I keep using her SUV, Iam going to get a Thule Hullavator Pro for it to help with the lifting.

Have a single cab ranger and i love it. Easy to keep clean, easy excuse not to haul people around. Put a tonnue cover on it so i had an excuse not to help people move.FB_IMG_1474862017023.jpg

Depends on the make, model and what options for cabs etc. I don't want a short bed. 8' would be great.

My 2015 F350 KR crew cab short bed was a pain to find parking in the city. Great truck but a beast.

I don't think an extended cab truck is any longer than a regular cab with an 8' bed. At least mine aren't I have a Z71 extended cab with a 6' bed and a reg cab 3/4 ton with an 8' bed no difference.

I had a 97 Dodge standard cab, standard bed, until year before last and it carried around everything I needed it to. The extra cab on the Chevy I have now just seems to collect junk.

I think I can make it work. Wish I could get away with a Tacoma or something smaller but don't think I can. Man those little trucks hold their value.

That's a worry. I know it would be good for a suitcase or weekend bag etc, but I just don't like them.

Really is the truth, especially when hauling drywall.
