    Hard steering at high speed

I just bought a new 2016 ZX250 with a 250 Yamaha Sho. After the initial break in on the motor I finally was able to get it up to 73MPH and noticed the steering was very stiff at high speeds. Is this normal? The steering at anything below 60mph was fine. This is the 1st boat I have owned with this much horse power so I want to make sure something isn't wrong.

Hard steering at speed is not unusual.

You just need to lower the motor. Mine does the same thing once I raise the motor at high speeds. Once I lower it back down, the steering gets easy again.

Like he said. The higher the engine is the more torque you will get on the wheel.

Thanks for the replies guys. I thought being trimmed up too high may have had something to do with it. If I trim down too much though I lose top end speed.

Not trim, motor height in general, need to lower your engine some
