    The Pack Pics 3 _ 28

Here are pics of the State ramp and Mangum Cove. It is still iced over and the ramp still has snow on it.
The entrance road has not been plowed. In other words.. It is still a MESS... Judge for yourself.

I check it yesterday and it was down too. I will ride past the State launch tomorrow to see it it is all open.
With the weather in the 60's this week, it should be all open by Thursday

Sorry Did not have a chance to get over to take pictures I hear the ramp is open and the lake is ice free. I'll be going out tomorrow
on a private lake for a few hours with a buddy. He wants to De-Winterize his boat and I'll throw some jerk baits a while

WELL... did not catch anything but a great deal of beautiful sun rays. Water temp was 38. Was using Jerk baits and jigs SLOW.. had one taker but hit once and left it alone.
What counts was I was out in 60 degree sunshine. Going out Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday on the pack. I'll let you know how I did.

I can't believe it... THE BOAT DOCK IS IN ! !

OK... dewinterized the boat today on the Pack. Just did a short run to Epley Is and into a few coves and threw a jerk bait.
Water temp was 48.3 at the launch. Didn't stay to long as my pups are home alone and I don't need a disaster.
Lots of boats out. I helped a guy out who launched his boat... he hit the brakes and the boat was in the middle of the cove. He forgot to tie the rope to the trailer. LMFAO.
ANYWAY. it has begun. Enjoy, be safe, and FISH ON..

YEAH, I could not believe it either to see the dock in. Makes it so much easier than beaching your boat
even if you do have a shield. Let me how you do tomorrow, Matt. I am heading to NY border to get an
order of lead bullets for reloading.

    Nice looking fish there !

I got out on Thursday and it was very windy .

Gave the bass a go for an hour then switched to the panfish.

Ended up with 6 nice calico, 5 pearch ( one nice one loaded with eggs ) and 4 small bluegill.

caught them all on a small jig , tough to fish but the action was nice.

At least you got out for a while. Nice catching a variety, too. That is what counts. I'll stay away now for a while til all the trout guys have their fun.
Hopefully, I will get out on Tuesday for a little while if my back is up to it

Was out today for 3 hours. Slow bite and wind was horrible to hold on any spot.
Managed 2 smallies, a 21" walleye, and a 3/4 lb bluegill. All came on a Bluegill hand poured 2.8 swim bait.
Going to try tomorrow some if my buddy can get out. I ran a treble hook from a jerk bait thru my ring finger
today. Just cut the barb off, then peroxide and a bandage... Never to "OLD" for that dumb ass things :)
