    1998 Cobra Restore (Picture Heavy)

Here is a recent Cobra restore I helped my good friend redo. He did about 95% of the labor and I pointed and supervised (drank beer)

We striped it down and had to replace the transom (Arjay) and back seat post was rotten. All new carpet and pad, front trolling tray install, all new wiring, steering, pumps....everything!

Instead of boring you guys I'm gonna go from start to finish on the pictures. Rocky (owner) has a really nice bass boat that will last years to come.

OK, where did we leave off.......carpet I think cause we finished wet sanding.

First off let me state that there was plenty of these involved in this restoration
    [HTML]/HTML]

Transom was gone, leaked water though the plastic fittings in splash well. Was a PITA digging out all the wood, if your gonna go this get yourself a big gas powered chainsaw and get after it....wasted a ton of time with a electric one.

Is that seacast or whatever that stuff is in the transom? How did you finish off the top of the transom and the splashwell?

Also, I can't get over how there isn't any stress cracks in the back corners of the top cap! These boats are well known for them!

I used a mixture of resign and glass powder to make a think peanut butter. Filled it in and sanded it down, then had sprayed with bedliner.
