I installed a lowrance LSS2 transducer the other day for my HDS 12. i haven't had a chance to get it on the water yet but when i turn it on on the trailer the side scan is blank not even reading depth but the transducer is clicking is this normal?

Yes, nothing will show unless its in the water. If its clicking its probably working. Make sure and search the videos on how to level that transducer. Proper installation and getting it level will make life a lot better.
