Mounting HDS 7 Gen 3 on bow of 198. Anyone using Dek- it mount?

2006 198 recessed pedal. Wondering what model works best or what people are using.

Planning on one for my 191, and it's probably narrower up there than on your 198. I wouldn't do it if I thought it would encroach on usable deck space with the narrow beam boats already having less real estate up front, and I think it will be fine. I'm going with the tilted one.

I have an 06 198, and I use a deck it mount for a gen 2 HDS 9. Its a little tight with the mount placed forward as far as it will go, but it works.

I just had my Humminbird 12" Helix G2Ns mounted and I went with the swing arm RAM mounts. It's really solid! These aren't the old ball mounts and they tighten down really well. These are powder coated marine grade aluminum. John Jones (Jones Trolling Motor) recommended them so I figured I'd give them a shot. So far, so good.
