    Motor Value?

    Hey Guys,
    Had an event with my motor a few moths ago, its a 98 Merc EFI 175 My mechanic told me I burned up a piston, I recently bought a new motor, need to do something with the old one. whats it worth?

    Did you just replace the powerhead or the whole motor is it complete?

    Didn't replace anything, its sitting with a ruined piston

    The power head is the motor part, then you have mid section lower unit etc, so you replaced the entire thing cowl to lower unit or just the powerhead?

    What at you have for sale would make a difference in value.

    It sounds like he bought an entire new motor and he's wanting to know what the entire old motor is worth.

    Old motor is worth 800 to 1200 imo
