    2009 20 x3 with merc pro xs 225

I'm looking at this boat used and was looking at getting some opinions such as sped ride and over all boat performance. Never owned a triton seems like a nice boat just know much about the 20x3. Thanks

It is a big, nice riding boat. You won't be the fastest boat on the water. Mid 60's probably?

This is a big boat that's 20'9" so it's heavy, the ride is smooth and dry when you find the sweet spot even in rough water. Mine has a 250 ProXS and I can easily hit 72-73 carrying a normal load with my top speed being a little better than 75. The 225 will be slightly slower but this hull was made for comfort not speed and I've found that a Tempest prop works a little better on this hull because it can keep the bow up.

I have a 20x3 with a 225 Pro XS (25 Fury) and the boat performs well. Hole shot is great and the boat is no speed demon but can consistently hit upper 60’s and can touch 70 in ideal conditions. It’s a very good rough water ride for the big lakes up here in Michigan (St Clair and Great Lakes).
