    Anchor line

What are you guys using to manage your anchor line? I had a hot mess of excess rope getting tangled around me all day. I've got an anchor trolley which I really liked so I could position the yak better but man was all the extra line a pain to deal with.

I use an anchor trolley system, but I only fish rivers, smaller ponds, and shallow backwaters, so i dont carry too much in length, so i dont have that problem.

For light weight anchoring, some guys use a Doggy Leash. Self contained and winds or rolls right up.

I don't anchor in deep water so I too use a retractable dog lease thru my anchor trolley.

Dog leash idea is awesome ... if you've ever snagged a treble hook in excess anchor rope you'll know
    Ranting incoherently

Anchor wizard with an anchor trolley all day. The dog leash is a nice DIY idea but the Anchor Wizard is a better option personally and was made for this specific purpose. Longer anchor rope...easily locked and unlocked with just a simple turn of the handle...and a cranking handle to take line in quickly. Nothing else really like it out there on the market.
