If you have your manual, what does it say about QUICK start? It is in the ignition system section Chapter 3.
Can't find it? Any info would be great.

What your manual or the chapter? Should be right about page 25 chapter 3 of your OMC ER manual.
I found it it says if the engine is less than 96* and about 5 seconds after that

Mine is taking forever to come off and only goes to about 900-1000 while idling in the water not in gear.
