Gary and I went back to Mutton Creek.......Thursday 3-23-17

This time we took John along with us. We got a late start because I had a dentist appointment at 8:20..When we finally got to Mutton Creek it was almost noon. When we launched the boat at the north ramp again the parking lot had several trucks and trailers already in it. The water temp at the ramp was about 52*. Water clarity was normal at Mutton Creek but got muddier the further south we went. We found 54* water about halfway to the CC bridge and started fishing there. We immediately started catching fish. We were after those big, sow, white bass we caught a few weeks back but mostly what we caught were just short bass. We like lots of bites of course so we stayed there and hammered the little stud bass for quite some time. Then we ran to CC hoping again to intersect those big whites but only found a few. I'm sure between the three of us we caught 40-50 fish and had a ball. We always do.

Went out of CF for a few hrs the other day. Was enjoying a crank and JB bite until the clouds dissipated. Bite tapered off, loaded up and went up the hill to visit with my folks.

You mean they actually released you for while or did you run away while the cage was being cleaned. Glad you got away.

Quit answering my phone would seem plausible but busting my collar sounds better.

We're going back up to Stockton in the morning but this time we are going to launch at State Park. The rivers were muddy Thursday and we have gotten 2-3 inches of rain since then. Hoping to find some big pre-spawn female largemouth. It was fun catching a bunch a dinks last week. I'm ready for a BIG BITE!

Further up the hill. Used up the hill as a general reference. Passed by old cardinal hill the other day. Surprised that American pickers haven't bought that sign yet.
